I’m fortunate to live in an area that has more freedom than most. And yet, I’m going stir crazy. I can go wherever I want but most places aren’t open. I can’t imagine being in a total lockdown at this point.
Whitmer will find it very difficult to enforce her “orders” without having most of the state’s enforcement agencies on board. And a few well-placed lawsuits and court orders could also go a long way in defanging her orders.

Michigan has a population of 9.9 million with 4800 Covid deaths, a percentage of .00005. Not a great risk of dying.

An "executive order", by its very definition, only applies to members of the executive branch of the government unit (federal, state, county, etc.) It can tell members of the police how they are expected to apply the law, etc. but it cannot make law, and cannot be applied to the judiciary, the legislature or to the citizens at large. There may be some legal support for a public health order being enforceable, but if it impinges on civil liberties, it has to be applied in the way that least affects those liberties. None of the orders issued by these Democratic governors or their sycophants could pass that constitutional test. They are all too broad and are not narrowly crafted to minimize the deprivation of the constitutional rights of the citizens.

Anyone caught disobeying her orders will be turned into a lamp shade.
A state may have the power to quarantine sick people but it does not have the right to quarantine well people.
