The jogger had a right to defend himself.

He was not defending himself. He was attacking people who had confronted him. He made a foolish attempt to rush his antagonist and grab a shotgun. It ended badly, as such actions usually do.

And he was not a "jogger". He was a burglar, casing the neighborhood for future targets.

Your second statement contradicts your first. They confronted him. He defended himself. Once they started it, they lost their right to self defense.

And he was not a "jogger". He was a burglar, casing the neighborhood for future targets.

Do you have any proof of that? Besides that, ca you show me the law in Georgia which allows private citizens to execute someone who is "casing" a neighborhood?

Would you be okay if someone shot you and the said "flamberge was a burglar." And if the person who killed you says it, we don't need to prove it.

By the way, you can't chase after a burglar and kill him.
