Suicide by cop. Even the Black Lives Matter kooks can’t manufacture a narrative on this one.
I disagree because technically, if he had shot when the guy wasn't a clear threat, all hell would have broken loose. (And who knows, still may)
Once the guy was charging him, then he could rightfully claim self-defense.
Body cam makes it clear that this was no hands up shooting in the back scenario.
For the life of me, I'll never figure what's going through the mind of someone who rushes someone else who's holding a gun on them. Looks like suicide by cop at that point.
Many, many people saying he should have been tased instead. But that doesn’t always work, especially on chunky dudes like this, or if the electrode fail to penetrate baggy clothes (like his perhaps). And if the taser fails, you are faced with a guy coming towards you thrusting a knife towards your chest, while you attempt to switch weapons to stop him. Not a desired scenario. And this guy remained outside the taser’s range until he made his fatal move.
He cut it close. Almost.
