Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell has declassified a list of former Obama administration officials who were allegedly involved in the so-called “unmasking” of former national security adviser Michael Flynn in his conversations with the former Russian ambassador during the presidential transition, a senior U.S. official tells ABC News.
Grenell, who remains the U.S. ambassador to Germany along with being the acting DNI, visited the Justice Department last week and brought the list with him, according to the official.

My understanding is that the unmasking itself is not criminal. However the leaking of the unmasking information is. Star and Saul spoke about this tonight on Laura.
Part of why they’re releasing things this way (i.e. giving a day or two between declassifying and actually releasing the information) is to expose the media. Give them a few days to tell the public that whatever info is coming out will not be incriminating, then reveal them for the liars they are once the info is released. This is a technique that Andrew Breitbart used to great effect when he and James O’Keefe exposed ACORN.
If the purpose of the unmaskings was to compromise the people being unmasked, then the perpetrators, who have committed crimes, may be in a position to say some interesting things about the people they were helping. It might not hurt to have another dozen insiders eager to rat out the higher ups.
If some of the higher ups are facing easy to prove crimes, then they become eager to make deals. Could be a lot of fun.

Maxine Waters told us in 2013 what Obama was up to, building the most massive database on EVERYONE that anyone had ever seen.
He was using the assets of the US government to target political enemies.
The IRS was used against tea party groups.
The FBI and CIA and NSA were used.

Some thoughts about this:
1. The unmasking is not criminal only if:
a) it was done for valid intelligence related concerns,
b) it was not politically motivated and
c) the person making the request was authorized to do so,
2. On this last point, the number of officials authorized to unmask dramatically increased during the Obama administration. As a result, the actual number of unmasking requests made tripled during the Obama years. Maybe this increase was legit, maybe not, but there are anomalies which warrant some scrutiny.
3. One example of this, there may be others not yet known, UN Ambassador Power has testified that “many” of the hundreds of unmasking requests made in her name were not actually made by her. This implies that:
a) The unmasking process had become corrupt.
b) She no doubt knew this and did nothing about it as the results of each request would come back to her.
c. Someone (or multiple parties) who were not authorized to make unmasking requests were illegally doing so.
“Critics, including nearly 2,000 former DOJ officials, have argued the move was part of a pattern of Barr looking to undermine an investigation that was politically damaging for President Donald Trump.”
That letter from many political appointees, presented no evidence whatsoever, other than Barr was “a single political appointee”, and there were no career prosecutors ordering it. And “Flynn pleaded guilty!” - except, yeah, he withdrew that - isn’t that allowed if duress is involved, or whatever reason the defendant wants?
I believe we should start by eliminating ALL of them with one vowel in the acronym so the number of tit suckers can be evaluated.
Haha. Yeah, ok, guy. Please tell me how many times you’ve seen high-level officials lead away in cuffs. It doesn’t happen. People like Gowdy and Grenell throw you crumbs and you salivate and nothing ever happens. This is just another big nothing. I’m listening to Jim Jordan as I write this. He lays it out so simply. Comey and all the rest broke all these laws and it’s just so easy to prove. But nothing will happen. Both sides have a vested interest in keeping Saudi involvement in 9/11 a secret. I’ve seen the redacted documents. They used to be public. But now Barr and Grenell have used a ridiculous reason to prevent their full release. But you keep rubbing your hands together waiting for Comey to do the perp walk.
It seems much of what they ALL say publicly miraculously changes when they’re under oath...
It’s a trend.
