Sometimes someone doesnt use common sense and it ruins things for everyone.
And sometimes a lot of people dont use common sense and it just starts to spread like, well, a virus.
That kind of outbreak could be happening around a Pittsburgh park.
It started with the citys shutdown of a city skate park in Polish Hill. Now lets be clear this may have been the catalyst, but it was by no means a targeted assault. Playgrounds, picnic areas and other gathering places in public and state parks all over the state have been shuttered under Gov. Tom Wolfs stoplight pandemic lockdown and local implementations of those social distancing orders.
But according to the citys Director of Public Works Mike Gable, closing meant nothing to some using the facilities. Fences were hopped. Locks were cut. Skaters were still gathering.

The risk?
Freedom is contagious.
Couldn’t get the site to pull up the story.
Tom Wolf. A wolf in wolf’s clothing.
From the article Whoever responded by dumping sand at City Hall was in the wrong, but lets hope everyone has the common sense to call this a draw. The kids responded to the jackbooted, government thugs who put sand in their park by putting sand in the front revolving door of the city building, God bless them.
At his (Wolf) last press conf. he looked more like a deer in the headlights about to get run over.
Unless a park or public recreation space only covers one square yard, there should be more than enough room for individuals and families to mind their own business & space and enjoy the outdoors.
An alternative would be to go to the triblive.com site. Click the editorial tab and look it up. Link seems to be working from my end.
Look up the response to the same gubbermental over-reach at a skate park in San Clemente, CA.
Kids brought out the motocross bikes at first to “use” the sand for riding, and then organized a cleanup.
I guarantee those kids there were brought closer together to each other when cleaning up the sand than if there were just there skating.
Power-hungry mMental midgets making these banning decisions.
I am somewhat encouraged by young people. My personal observation has been that they are ignoring Wolf from the very beginning. I even heard there is a speakeasy operating in Harrisburg and it patronized by young adults. The more people ignore government the better.
Gotta love those kids . . .
for me, I'm thinking I'll end up a law breaker in my old age....can't wait...
how long before liberal powers that be start charging people with ‘domestic terrorism’ for going outside and living their lives?
“Unless a park or public recreation space only covers one square yard, there should be more than enough room for individuals and families to mind their own business & space and enjoy the outdoors.”
How about this: “Let individuals and families mind their own business & space and enjoy the outdoors.”
Then the can decide for themselves if there is enough room.
Bump
Im proud of these kids for fighting back.
Normally I wouldnt condone their actions, but these arent normal times.
I especially like the sand dumped in front of the city building.
for me, I’m thinking I’ll end up a law breaker in my old age....can’t wait...
The old, like children, can get away with more bad behavior than younger adults. Governments do not want to prosecute and incarcerate old people because it just costs too much money to keep them alive in prison. Its the same reason they dont arrest homeless people, there is no money in it.
I took it out on the street and off I went. Unfortunately the street was a hill and the result was what an adult would have expected since those things don't have brakes......LOL!
