Anxiety? I suppose for some, there is that. Mrs rktman and I talked about that the other day. Neither one of us have been “anxious” during this. Less options to do things but we’ve found plenty alternative things to do. But other than that, no anxiety.
Elderly people (who are most vulnerable to COVID-19) were pretty much taking this in stride. Not too scared. They've been through tough times before.
Middle-aged people (who are not very vulnerable to COVID-19) were pretty much taking this in stride. Not too scared. They've been through tough times before.
Young people in their 20s -- especially women -- were terrified. They are not vulnerable at all, but they thought the world was ending and nothing would ever be normal again.
I wasn’t anxious but I was less than comfortable and my breathing was more laborious when I wore my mask for the first time to Casey’s convenience store last night. The whole breathing in CO2 and your own breath not to mention chemicals from the mask itself have to be factors in people losing immunity against germs in general. I immediately took it off when I got to the car thinking “Free at Last”.
