Mexico’s president on Friday urged the United States to shed light on a gun-running sting that caused bilateral friction under the Obama presidency, questioning the behavior of past U.S. administrations for the third time this week.

i heard gunwalker was a program under Bush that actually had guns with tracking devices inserted used to find gang headquarters for LEO.
True and it was a massive failure. The batteries in the tracking devices were depleted before they could be utilized.

The gunrunning program started in the Bush administration was shut down almost immediately when it was determined that they could not trace the guns as well as they thought they could. When the Obama administration‘s atrocities with “fast and furious” became known, the media (up to its usual tricks) said that it was a program that started under the Bush administration. They were very different.

Violating the Constitution used to be a big deal until everybody got involved in doing it.
Operation Fast & Furious had as its central purpose the subversion of the US Constitution. The program’s strategy was to gin up a furor over guns sourced in the US being used in Mexican crime so that the US public could be stampeded into restricting the 2nd Amendment. Since few such guns were being used in Mexico more had to be supplied. They also had to show up at crime scenes so that they could be traced back to the US to ‘prove’ the Obama administration’s assertions.
F&F was a program cynically designed to result in Mexican deaths - so that ‘evil’ US-sourced guns could be found at the crime scenes and US gun laws could be blamed for the carnage. Holder, Napolitano, Hillary and Obama and a host of their minions cooked up this program knowing that Mexicans would die - in fact, needing Mexicans to die for this scheme to work. The Obama administration was cynically willing to slaughter Mexicans to accomplish their political purposes.

But because both parties wanted the natural born citizen requirement neutered now any anchor baby, Chinese tourist baby and even Anwar Al-Awlaki’s kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent, are eligible to be President.

I was detailed to the Bush White House staff when GUNWALKER was first proposed. It required the installation of remotely-activated RFID (radio frequency identification) chips, which we’ve used extensively in other situations, and targeted not only the cartels, but suspected shipments of weapons to terrorist and insurgent groups. FAST and FURIOUS eliminated the RFID component.
