Dogs, even pit bulls, can be taught impulse control. I suspect that teaching children impulse inhibition for 30 minutes a day during the first year of school, or preschool if possible, would transform millions of children from ferals into potentially productive humans, saving millions of lives, and billion$ on police, courts, and prisons.
in our society we glorify "letting it all hang out" and "if it feels good, do it"....
for many decades now, I'd say from the 60's, we've been told that nothing is wrong, that you can do whatever you want, that everything is alright because we're told "I'm okay, you're okay"...
