The Left doesn’t care about mental anguish.

If you can’t comply with their wishes, it is best for you to “check out”.

One way or another the Left will kill those who don’t embrace the New suck.

Let us desist from making forecasts of the future with numbers. It exacerbates freaking out.

“Our so called elites are ignoring this implication.”

Not just the elites. From the people I interact with on walks, to social media, those that are afraid just don’t seem to care about this. Those deaths don’t count.

Of course, it’s because you can’t catch suicide. They’re more worried about you living life and being selfish.

From the beginning of this, there has never been anyone in government, or media, who has talked of doing a cost/benefit review of what our policies on closing down the economy, closing schools, etc. should be.

It seems that we as a society, have decided to take a zero tolerance sort of overall policy, that we should shut down everything with the goal of saving lives from the virus. But nobody talked about the fallout from such policies.

Perhaps the zero tolerance route made some sense when the goal was flatten the curve, and the estimated timeline was that we would all hunker down for two weeks.

So we can say we have flattened the curve and saved lives from the virus, but what of other fallout? What of lives impacted or lost because of other causes? What of the long term damage, economic and health and otherwise, of triggering a worldwide economic depression as a cost worth paying to fight a virus?

I’m glad some questions are starting to be asked as to whether all of this was worth it.

She’s a radiologist and a personality for Fox News, so this probably won’t get much attention outside of conservative circles.

...who predicts 80,000 could die due to coronavirus shutdown anxieties - more than the virus itself.

The virus itself should crack the 80,000 dead mark on Sunday.

No, they are not so secretly celebrating it.

What does our Dramatic Duo, Fauci & Brix, have to say about the deaths they caused by using the Fake Mortality Forecasts from the infamous British fornicator, who predicted a US death toll of 2.2 MILLION? The President believed those Democrat liars, shut down the economy needlessly, and caused the devastation of our economy.

Doesn't pass the smell test. Doing the math results in 24,000 drug overdose deaths and 6,000 suicides due to COVID shutdown activities, IF...IF...IF... their predictions are right.

Increases in suicides and overdoses are a legitimate problem that is dwarfed by COVID deaths, but still needs attention.

What about suicides due to chronic problems from getting COVID? Has anyone thought about that? Not all suicides are shutdown related.

"In 2018, there were 48,344 recorded suicides, up from 42,773 in 2014, according to the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS)."

"In 2018, 67,367 drug overdose deaths occurred in the United States."

This article predicts that each percent of unemployment leads to a 3.3% increase in drug overdoses and a 1% increase in suicide then.

And increase from 3% to 15% unemployment is 12%. We should see a 36% increase in drug overdoses and a 12% increase in suicide.

A 12% increase in suicide * 48,000 existing suicides = 5760 additional suicides due to COVID.

And a 36% increase in drug overdoses * 67,000 existing overdose deaths = 24,120 drug overdose deaths.

How about the cancer patients not getting radiation, chemo and other outpatient care for their cancer due to this CV/BS shutting down most same day care in most hospitals.

How about post stroke patients unable to get need PT therapy as an outpatient at the closed hospitals or at home?

Are the Kidney dialysis patients getting their weekly dialysis treatment?

How about hip or knee replacement patients, who got a replacement before 13 March, getting proper postop and PT care? Or are they deteriorating or maybe heading into a second transplant?

How about patients with cataracts going blinder by the day because their eye docs can't do a simple surgery to remove the cataracts, insert a new internal lens and have the patients driving the next day?

The list of secondary casualties re lack of medical care may be more dangerous than getting this disease unless you are 80 and in a nursing home.

It is past time to do a Gray Davis on these rectum governors.

We recalled Gray Davis and a Left Wing Cali Supreme Court Justice.

People are lonely under the lockdown. That causes all these other problems!

Call your friends, relatives, and neighbors on the phone! And above all, PRAY to God, and cast all your anguish upon Him!!!!

If you haven’t been a regular churchgoer, resolve to go to Church once the lockdowns are over. “Virtual liturgies” don’t make it!!!!

Isolation and mask wearing of healthy people is the worst thing you can do. We need the exposure to people and the environment for bacteria and other microbes to continually build and support our immune system. No vitamin D, stress, and depression weaken our health.

We may see spikes in cancer and other worse diseases than Wuhan flu.

Doctors, protect your vulnerable patients. Open the US today without conditions.

Absolutely right! People were not meant to lob around waiting for the check from the government.

The #1 goal of government should be to have as many people as possible working as productively as possible. Instead, democrats have as their goal putting us out of work and having millions dependent on government.
