The Ahmaud Arbery shooting in Georgia--you know, the JOGGER who was out for his daily run who was hunted down by vigilante rednecks and shot for no reason--has another side to it, i.e., the TRUTH. This link attaches to a letter sent by Waycross, GA District Attorney George Barnhill, whose office investigated the case and determined that no charges would be filed, to the Georgia AG explaining his reasons for recusal from the case (reading between the lines, he and his son were receiving death threats). In this letter, he discusses Arbery's criminal history, the fact that the elder McMichael had previously PROSECUTED Arbery as DA investigator, and that there is video evidence of the JOGGER burglarizing a home JUST BEFORE the shooting. Discuss....

I've read that the dead guy had a history with the police/courts.I don't have the first clue if that's true but if,by chance,it is that could change the picture a bit...or maybe more than a bit.
Just sayin'...

No particular surprise here. I don’t understand why some Freepers keep falling for the man-bites-dog narrative peddled by the media.

Stop the crap.
The shotgun dudes were in the wrong.
I first thought he’d get off and the runner had messed up by instigating the fist fight.
But the video shows the guy who shot him instigated it by laying in wait.
If he was a burglar, these two guys screwed up royally and they’re going down for murder.
Good job geniuses.

there is video evidence of the JOGGER burglarizing a home JUST BEFORE the shooting. Discuss.OK, where is the video evidence of the burglary? I have a $100 bet with the dawg, and right now it is not looking too good for the Ohio Class Sub.
Point me to that video, please.

I never bought into the poor innocent Travon Martin narrative and saw the Ferguson, Missouri farce for what it was. I must admit, though, that this one fooled me.

If he was going to be shot it should have been done by the homeowner of the home he was breaking in to. You can’t chase him down the street and shoot him.

“It also appears a cousin has been prosecuted by DA Johnson’s office.”
He had a cousin, maybe a second cousin twice removed, that has been prosecuted for a crime. Now, it all makes sense.

There is a decent cell phone video of the entire shooting incident, also video of Arbery burglarizing a home immediately preceding the chase and confrontation. What did he steal? He doesn't appear to be carrying anything in the video. And where is this other video of him burglarizing a home? Does it exist, or is it just the say-so of the shooters who told the 911 dispatcher that he'd been seen on video on other occasions?

Still illegal for them to have chased the guy down and shoot him. If that wasn’t done strictly in self-defense, then they’re going to prison for manslaughter.
