Republicans in the House and Senate introduced legislation this week to have the street in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., renamed Li Wenliang Plaza to honor the Wuhan-based doctor-turned-whistleblower who had early on sounded the alarm on coronavirus.
The Chinese Government attempted to silence Dr. Li Wenliang who, at great personal risk, warned about the danger of Coronavirus, Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney said in a statement Thursday.

In any case, Americans don’t have to wait for their government to strike a blow.
Stop buying “Made in China”.
That WILL send a message.
The ChiComs will look a this symbolic gesture as a sign of weakness.
I love that movie!
LOL! An admirable suggestion but one that would be pretty hard to do given how dependent we are on Chinese products.
I’ve managed it.
The difference being that the push and the approval to name the street after Boris Nemtsov came from the D.C. City Council and not Congress. As I said, the Washington government can do that while Congress cannot.
Congress can do it. Congress can also override the DC city council in the naming of DC city streets.
Of course they can.
As long as those are all linked together in a campaign package to MAGA,A....MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, AGAIN.
Pretty futile for repubs to try and get any legislation through right now. Gotta get the House back in a big way and increase majority in the Senate to make up for neverTrumpers and RINOs. That and of course re-elect Trump.
Just imagine what could be done in the next 4 years by Trump with a super majority in both chambers.
Renaming the street will show them! LOL.
Gotta have some serious high "T" to pull that off.
I'm sure the CCP will be intimidated.
