[I assume you’re joking here. Having a transition team member contacting a foreign diplomat on a private cell phone in an attempt to undermine a U.S. vote at the United Nations is about as reckless and irresponsible as it gets.

If it was December 2024 and the transition team member involved in this kind of sh!t was named Alexander “Slappy” Vindman instead of Michael Flynn, I’m sure you’d be singing an entirely different tune. ]

Again - this is a *transition* team. The idea being that the previous administration should stop making policy or planting land mines in front of the new one. The outgoing administration should be strictly focused on preparing to move and telling the new one in detail the state of things as they were before the election returns came in, but that is a process that began 6 months before the election. Anything else is basically sabotage and subversion. (Ideally, the new administration should take over the day after the election results are available, as they do in the UK, but we are restrained by constitutional arrangements).

Or not. That’s a highly subjective statement that shouldn’t be used cavalierly by a transition team. An incoming administration does not have the constitutional authority to undermine a sitting U.S. President on a foreign policy issue like that. You allow that sh!t to go on — especially in a matter that is of so little consequence to the average American — and you open a major can of worms that will ultimately destroy this country’s political and legal foundation.

yes, Dang those dastardly constitutional arrangements.

...and a quick question? I’ve been following this with casual interest.... where did the information that it was his “private” cell phone come from?
