My only comment on this is that one day there will be a Democratic president again and we have pretty much stripped Congress of any oversight authority. I am not super comfortable with the precedent we have set. No one seems to think beyond the moment these days.

Congress has the ultimate “oversight authority,” but they refuse to use it. They can withdraw funding from any executive branch agency that isn’t permitted to subject itself to Congressional oversight. This is something these A-holes in Congress should have thought about before they constructed this unaccountable bureaucracy in the first place.

The house has given up any power for real oversight. They are simply in the business of attempting regime change. They gave up on oversight. The system is already dead.
