Viruses don’t do well on surfaces when there is actual direct sunlight involved, the Ultraviolet Rays from the Sun kill them.

Yes, and it’s indoor surfaces (all around the checkout counter at the grocery, the counters at the Post Office, etc.) where exhaled Coronavirus builds up and lingers, to be touched by lots of folks.

Not so outside at the beach or the park, in fresh air and sunlight.

I always choose the shopping cart that is abandoned in the back of the store parking lot...in the sun.
