I have a crazy idea. How about the university do NO investigations for sexual assault? All the students are 18, full legal adults. A rape happens, the local police department or college police department (not just security) should conduct a normal criminal investigation using the rules of criminal law.

If a 21 year old working at a job is accused of raping a fellow employee, the company is not tasked with conducting the investigation FOR the police.

This “kids” are adults, maybe they should be treated that way.

FWIW I didn’t turn 17 until about a month after I started college. Skipped 1st grade.

Didn’t really cause a problem until I started 10th grade. Most of the kids had their driver’s licenses, even the girls, while I didn’t even have my learner’s permit.

No one really knew how much younger I was than everyone else, but it was a problem when I tried to get a date.
