;-(
What all you folks do at the event?
I’m guessing it includes some shootin’.
:)
First off, I can't see that guy having a serious discussion about anything.
The past several years I have dreaded planning this event
Most of us have also dreaded your planning, truth be told.
We have a great 14 year run!
Indeed. The Shoots were all amazing and awesome.
Know that I adore all of you.
Mostly me because let's face it.. I'm adorable as hell.
Fact is this event is dangerous.
The following attendees have died:
Dix
Flyer
TexasCowboy
NYTexan
Eaker
Windflier
Thanks for the memories, everyone.
I'll treasure them for all my years.
Wash your hands.
I have a suggestion. The planning of the shoot and logistics has become burdensome and most unfortunately we seem to be dying due to age as did our beloved Texas Cowboy, aka El Roy.
Perhaps a few of us “hard core: would just like to get together at a park or motel or an individuals home and drink adult beverages and reminess. I will still cook Brisket for all. Much apologies for not making last years shoot. I was in Canada.
This is so heartbreaking, but I understand.
I will miss you all SO much!
Thanks for everything you did for us!
Love to all!
Ms.
Well, I got to attend the very last one. Lots and lots of fun.
How about something in Georgia?
Just don’t say
The Chicom Cooties
were responsible!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Hugs !!
Sorry than I never made it there. Thanks to all who have organized attended. What an esprit de corps through the pics. FR orgs of the finest, for a fine gentleman. R.I.P., Texas Cowboy, sir. Thanks. love. (prayer)
Im an old lady in MA who never hunted but always looked forward to your news and pictures. I remember TC from way back on some smoking threads. Sad to see it end.
P.S. we all like the range in Gatesville. No reason if a group wants to have a less “formally organized” gathering that phone calls can’t be made for meeting up either. Even if its just a day at the range, BBQ afternoon visiting and a one night stay.
I went to high school with ElRoy, San Angelo HS class of 1958. Not close but ran with him some. If anyone wants ElRoy stories, particularly when he was in USMC, I will contact the last guy I know (a good friend) who served with him. He has made me laugh for years with ElRoy stories and will ask him to send them along to post for those who knew him later.
I’m thankful we got to be there with y’all, even just that one time. It was a rare treat to be able to meet FReeper friends like that.
I am already missing everyone, and it breaks my heart to know that there are some of you I'll never see again. But...as they say "all good things must come to an end". I would be willing to meet up with any group of you who want to just get together and chill with each other. All of you are the BEST folks I've ever hung out with, and I never knew a large group that got along so well and knew how to have so much fun! Love you guys and will always have the memories of these shoots and of the ones no longer with us.... |
(((((Hugs))))I get it.Time for someone else to step in and you and Humble to tell them they are doing it all wrong-/s Hehehhehehehehe
Thanks for the memories and for letting us be a part of such a wonderful group of people. Thank you for all of your hard work planning the event over the years Donna! Such fun. My heart is big and sore but we certainly understand. All good things must come to an end. Mr. Pen and I are going to plan a trip to Houston this summer to see yall when this virus horribleness is over. Take care! Love to all!
This shoot had become internationally famous for the one event where FREEPERS actually exercise their 2nd amendment rights in a celebratory format.
I wish I could have attended one of them.
But I did envy those who got there and sent lead down range and dining on some of the best Texas food anyone can have outdoors with beer after the range close.
I especially enjoyed reading Humbles cryptic replies and posted news on the shoot over the years.
Bless every one of them, and maybe it might return one day!
You did a great job the year I went. Thanks!
