(CHICAGO) WEEK - State Health officials have acknowledged a bending of the "Covid Curve" seeing smaller spikes in positive cases, or rather, not as exponential of a jump as recorded weeks ago when virus testing capability was much lower.
Additionally, despite the additional virus-related deaths being reported everyday, Illinois Department of Public Health reports those numbers are decreasing too.
Still, the department's Director, Dr. Ngozi Ezike used part of her time during Sunday's health briefing to explain how the department determines if a death is related to Coronavirus.
Essentially, Dr. Ezike explained that anyone who passes away after testing positive for the virus is included in that category.
"If you were in hospice and had already been given a few weeks to live, and then you also were found to have COVID, that would be counted as a COVID death. It means technically even if you died of a clear alternate cause, but you had COVID at the same time, it's still listed as a COVID death. So, everyone who's listed as a COVID death doesn't mean that that was the cause of the death, but they had COVID at the time of the death." Dr. Ezike outlined.
She reiterated Illinois health officials will continue to work vigorously to protect the state's most vulnerable populations.
btt
There is an upside to the Covid pandemic.
Apparently it reduces or eliminates all other causes of death.
So in other words, the same way they count Flu deaths. Except this is more careful, because in Flu deaths they rarely even bother testing.
Yes.
But sadly is a boon to registering Democrat voters....
RE: Apparently it reduces or eliminates all other causes of death.
The most obvious one being traffic accidents, where nearly 35,000 on average die each year.
As for the other disease related illnesses.... that remains to be seen.
They have to get those numbers up now so they can blame Trump for opening the country too early. There is even a financial incentive, a WuFlu death gets you an additional $30,000 from the Fed.
shoplifting has gone way down...
Hospice patient deaths being added into Covid death counts help add fear and panic. Was medical treatment withheld because of their hospice status?
This is all driven by the U.S. news media. This video shows that almost all the deaths they say are due to this corona virus are not due to corona virus but due to other flus, H1N1 ,pneumonia, cancer, old age etc :

This is a hoax just to defeat Trump in the election. They are destroying the economy for just another regular flu.
And the scam goes on....
When the government started paying the hospitals a bounty on COVID patients ($13,000 if CV-19 is even "suspected" and $39,000 if the patient is ventilated), any semblance of accurate reporting went out the window.
“Hospice patient deaths being added into Covid death counts help add fear and panic.”
I’m curious, are there really people stupid enough to believe flubros, and more of them come out of the woodwork each day? Or are there just 2 or 3 people who create new accounts every day to make it seem as though conservatives who read Free Republic are incredibly stupid?
Another day, same old BS. To confirm the Covid real mortality rate you can look at excess deaths, the number of deaths in excess of normal.
In an average year 57,000 people die of all causes in New York City. That is an average of 158 per day. Below is the number of deaths from Covid in NYC.
Math test - find the number of deaths in the column below which is lower than 158. One day out of the last month had a lower number.

New York City - not the State of New York, just the City of New York - has about 57,000 deaths per year which is 158 per day.

$13,000 paid to Medicare for each CV case reported and $39,000 paid when patient is put on ventilator. No wonder every case becomes CV and why they wanted so many ventilators.
“$39,000 if the patient is ventilated”
Do you know what it costs to stay in the hospital for 10 days? Last procedure I had I was there for 6 hours and the bill was $28,000.
I would also think to have a Covid patient whose virus could infect the doctors and nurses and kill them might involve some additional expense.
This stuff about the $39,000 “bounty” is nonsense.
I am really tired of pointing out the obvious.
With billions in aid from Uncle Sugar, somehow the medical “experts” have avoided sampling untested deaths for COVID-19. Perhaps there was an excuse when The End of the World models were in fashion.
That would give an idea of how many phono virus deaths are being counted.
A random sample of 150 would produce a MOE of about +/-8%.
Now why might they not want to do this?
Covid Death?
Yes!
Cha-CHING!!!!!!!
Next.....
I know of two cases personally where I think treatment was withheld.
My husbands aunt was in an assisted living facility in New York (Long Island), and in fairly good health. Someone in her facility had CoVid, so they tested everyone. She tested positive but was asymptomatic. They moved her to hospice care for unknown reasons. Well, I think I know, and you can guess. It was a few days before she started to develop any symptoms. Her biggest complaint was that food didnt taste good. So she stopped eating. Then she got a cough, then trouble breathing. Then kidney failure. To my knowledge, they gave her comfort care only. She passed about a week ago. She was 90, almost 91.
The other one was a friend whose Mom had dementia and was in a memory care facility. She started developing a cough and having trouble breathing, so she was tested and the result was positive for CoVid 19. She was taken to the hospital and started treatment, but her condition worsened. They stopped treatment and took her back to her previous facility where she stayed for another week, under sedation only. She passed on Saturday. She was 85. This was in New Jersey.
Essentially, Dr. Ezike explained that anyone who passes away after testing positive for the virus is included in that category.
“If you were in hospice and had already been given a few weeks to live, and then you also were found to have COVID, that would be counted as a COVID death. It means technically even if you died of a clear alternate cause, but you had COVID at the same time, it's still listed as a COVID death. So, everyone who's listed as a COVID death doesn't mean that that was the cause of the death, “
Seems clear enough to me. And it's from Illinois Department of Public Health Director, Dr. Ngozi Ezike herself.
