Tuesday’s jailing of a hair salon owner in Texas for defying a coronavirus shutdown order just doesn’t cut it, U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw wrote Tuesday.
In fact, the punishment dished out to Dallas business owner Shelley Luther was another example of public officials overstepping their authority during the crisis, the congressman wrote on Twitter.
“These punishments are NOT just,” Crenshaw wrote. “They are not reasonable. Small-minded ‘leaders’ across the country have become drunk with power. This must end.”

Still teaching kids the way we did before the invention of the automobile! Makes no sense, except if you look at it through its political lens. All these government agencies are inefficient, bloated, technologically way behind the curve, and under-serving the people they are supposed to help.

Find out how many of them had work done - nose jobs, botox treatments etc just by comparing photos. Then we’ll know how many of them actually followed the edicts they demanded of us. They are getting botox and implants, while cancer patients and people who need arterial stents are either pushed off or made to fear going in for treatment. How many have died or will die because they were either ordered or scared away from medical care?

OK Crenshaw, grow some balls and go down to the jail and demand her release even though you risk joining her. Demand her release, raise holy hell with the governor. Call AG Barr and demand a federal civil rights investigation.

This morning the Texas Supreme Court ordered the beauty shop owner freed on bond (no money).
And Governor Abbott changed his executive order to prohibit imprisonment as punishment for ignoring his executive order.
Many news outlets are carrying that news now.
