Democrats were quick to condemn the Trump administration Tuesday following comments from Vice President Mike Pence that the White House is in talks to potentially wind down its coronavirus task force, transferring its responsibilities to agencies like the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as early as Memorial Day or early June.
An official told Fox News that the members of the task force will continue to provide input, but the group will not be meeting as regularly as they had been at the outset of the pandemic. The official added that the White House’s focus was shifting toward vaccines, therapeutics, testing and reopening the economy.
The voices panning the Trump administration's decision to work on transferring the task force's responsibilities came from governors' offices, activists and some members of Congress.

LOL. Backlash from the MSM. No more daily briefings with the MSM at the center getting their 15 minutes of fame. Back to the helicopter press briefings where they are not seen and barely heard.
They could have also written, Donald Trump clears his throat, and Democrats immediately pounce.
Democratic governors can close their states for good for all I care. They won’t have a party by November.
I can understand the logic behind disbanding the taskforce. If the country is ready to reopen then the taskforce has done its job and isn’t needed anymore.

Come now! We should create a Cabinet position for this, and a whole new multi-$billion per year bureaucracy! I mean, the CDC and FDA clearly aren’t enough.
These would be the same Democrats that called the President ‘xenophobic’ because he shut down flights from China last January, right?
That’s what I thought.
If it were announced that the task force was going to remain until the end of the year, the media/dem complex would have screamed that Trump was scaring people and admitting defeat. It’s been their routine for years now, oppose anything and everything Trump does.
Trump critics have overplayed their hand by constantly whining about everything he does. Their criticism is as empty as their heads.
The Left certainly does not want the task force disbanded. It is the embryo for a new government agency to evolve with total control of American life. Notice how quickly and completely this one started up.
First they complain about the briefings because its a “campaign ralley” and now they don’t want them to end? Maybe some more videos of media during the briefings are in order.
They ran to Fauci, Fauci gave them the quote they wanted, “Uh, this is the first I’m hearing about it”.
I hope Trump fires this guy the day after the election.
And predictable, sheesh, that alien faced gal, Paula ET Reid on CBS This morning never disappoints, always says Trump is doing everything wrong.
I am still hoping that PDJT would offer up an EO that requires one to inhale and exhale on a regular basis.
Think of how many of ‘them’ that would NOT just to prove a point.
