PHOENIX - Making himself Exhibit A for reopening the country, President Donald Trump visited an Arizona face mask factory, using the trip to demonstrate his determination to see an easing of stay-at-home orders even as the coronavirus remains a dire threat. Trump did not wear a mask despite guidelines saying they should be worn inside the factory at all times.
“The people of our country should think of themselves as warriors. We have to open,” Trump declared Tuesday as he left Washington on a trip that was more about the journey than the destination.
Trump had said he would don a face mask if the factory was “a mask environment,” but in the end he wore only safety goggles during a tour of the Honeywell facility. Nearly all factory workers and members of the press as well as some White House staff and Secret Service agents wore masks. Senior White House staff and Honeywell executives did not.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended that all Americans wear cloth masks when they can’t socially distance, such as in supermarkets, especially in places with high transmission rates. In the area where Trump spoke, a large video monitor listed safety guidelines, one of which said, “Please wear your mask at all times.”

During his briefing NY governor cuomo along side his team were not wearing masks, nothing was reported, no one said a word. During his tour of health facilities and being interviewed among others in the area, his team and the governor were not wearing masks. He later commented that people could die because of this irresponsibility and something should be done about it. CNN fredo cuomo the governors brother infected with the virus visited his summer home construction site in the Hamptons with a group of people including his kids and wife, no one was wearing a mask, nothing was reported, nothing was said. He later called the people on the lawn in central park enjoying the nice weather this week end as out right fools for not wearing masks and social distancing.

It wasn't a great visual. The factory rules state masks must be worn at all times. It's an unnecessary action that detracts from the purpose of the trip.

Correction - according to Fox News just now, visitors were not required to wear masks. The other government officials and Honeywell executives didn’t wear them either.
If the President didn't wear one I can't imagine anyone else in the party would be wearing one, even had they wanted to. Not after that picture from the other day where Pence was literally the only person in the building not wearing a mask.
Wearing masks for the general population is politically correct stupidity at its finest! It’s just another way some Americans can feel superior to other Americans...kind of like Prius drivers.

I have no problem with this. Good for him. Not like the hypocrites who are willing to arrest people for not wearing a masks and don’t wear one themselves. Everyone one around him are wearing masks or have been tested 15 minutes ago. What is the science of him needing a mask under those circumstances. They can’t even follow the logic of their own silliness.
