As states follow President Trump’s Guidelines for Opening Up America Again following the peak of the global coronavirus pandemic, it is imperative for the media to present accurate information to the American people. Instead, The New York Times is pushing fake news about a U.S. government “internal document” projecting coronavirus deaths, attempting to increase readers’ anxiety and fear while ignoring the experts and crucial context.
As a White House spokesman made clear yesterday, the document in question is “not a White House document nor has it been presented to the task force or gone through interagency vetting.” The White House noted that “Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health today said this slide deck was a preliminary analyses developed by them and was done to aid in scenario planning – not to be used as forecasts.”
That didn’t stop The New York Times, which chose to stoke fear instead of report the facts. “U.S. quietly fears virus’ daily toll will soon double,” its front page headline screamed today, falsely reporting the document was an “internal forecast” and failing to note the data “had not been vetted” until the very last lines of the story. The Times nevertheless gratuitously concluded that “reopening the economy will make matters worse.”
“Can't believe the NYT made this their print headline,” Nate Silver tweeted. “There is no evidence this is some sort of official White House projection.”
The White House listened to the scientists and experts every step of the way in developing the guidelines to reopening the country. Instead of doing the same, The New York Times is sensationalizing unvetted data and mischaracterizing it because it believes its political agenda it more important than the truth.

Just NYT stumping for the Democrat agenda with fear mongering. Nothing new, really. More support for the Marxist Democrat governors and their overreaching shutdowns.
The Democrat/Left and their whacked-out base simply cannot abide another four years of Trump. This is the only thing they fear more -- much, much more -- than the Chinese virus. The lockdown/mask-wearing/[anti]-social distancing hoax must be continued for as long as humanly possible -- or, as we're talking about the Democrat/Left here, as long as inhumanly possible to November.
That's their game, it's called Left Wing activist propaganda.
I wonder if they will have a front page headline if Flynn is freed and is not snarky.
At what point is this equated to yelling “Fire” in a crowded theatre. The NYT should be shut down for at least a day over this.

An open system is one possessing a large number of ill defined, unknown, uncontrollable, and poorly measured variables. Developing a model requires one to make definitive assumptions about how each known variable will be treated mathematically in the model. That process alone means choosing among a near infinite number of possible realities for each. But then one presses enter and the computer compounds or depreciates the importance of each variable for the following day, month, quarter, etc. The further one moves forward, the less likely the model result will bear any resemblance to the reality, but instead will be behave like turning a puppy loose in a dog park.
For the same reason that about different sources published the ‘murder hornet’ story...which appeared a direct copy of the original article by someone in Washington state....they just want to impart FEAR...and the sheep go Baaaa...
The NYT has a history of supporting socialist and communist agendas since before Walter Duranty lied to protect Stalin's secret starvation-killings.
They have always been about Fake News and had a political bias.
