Fire ants are still here. I get stung all the time. Can’t avoid or kill them (at least to any extent). I’ve had them cover my legs. Nice painful blisters.

Also have lots of killer bees (along with the European honey bees). Easy to tell the difference - the killers sting you when you get close to their hives and have sentries flying around. Killed 14 hives that got into my house, and 2 of those were Africanized. I’ve been stung over 25 times at once.

Sorry to hear that.
My Texas friend used to live outside of Bremond in a double wide but has since moved to a condo in Bryan. No fire ants in the condo.
When I visited her in the double wide I got bitten by a fire ant...and the itty-bitty scar lasted a FULL YEAR.
Nasty buggers, aren't they?
