What is an HDMI inlet for? Looking to get a new TV.

HDMI is what you connect your cable/satellite provider to....as well as streaming devices such as Amazon FireStick, Roku or AppleTV.

Most new TVs have 3 or 4 of these inlets, on the back side of the TV.

Some people only stream....since you can stream just about everything, these days....and have ‘cut the cord’ with a cable provider.
