HDMI is what you connect your cable/satellite provider to....as well as streaming devices such as Amazon FireStick, Roku or AppleTV.

Most new TVs have 3 or 4 of these inlets, on the back side of the TV.

Some people only stream....since you can stream just about everything, these days....and have ‘cut the cord’ with a cable provider.

That’s me...use an Apple TV. Dedicated iPad to the ATV...threw in a set of Bose speakers as well. Watch same movies that are in theaters, all sports?.access to everything all the time..live! Even pay per view. You are only limited by your searching out source material online. Get Adblock plus and a good VPN...also a good internet speed.
