The bats were next seen at the Wuhan Wet Market as derrishous bat soup.
To: gandalftb
that doesnt even look like an appropriate facility
it looks like some college kids in a home doing dissecting bats

Agreed, what is astonishing to me is that these field techs knew the lethality of the bat virus, that’s why they were there in the caves.
...........
Several of them are wearing no protection at all and all are breathing the air in those caves.
............
The Chinese themselves made this video, really, it’s the smoking gun.

The Wuhan's Institute of Virology Oh, so that's what they're calling their biological weapons lab? How quaint.

Not exactly
The Andromeda Strain's "Wildfire" facility, is it?

Heck, I think The Professor on Gilligan's Island could've come up with better protective wear than the Chinese did, possibly made from the sap of palm trees.

Thanks, Truman MacArthur warned you The only way to prevent that woulda been to invade China the day the A-bomb dropped - and take the surrender of the Japanese, and establish a viceroy in China as well as Japan. Trouble was, the Roosevelt Admin wanted Russia to invade China.

Sometimes I think, maybe we should have just left the Japs alone when they invaded China.

we should have just left the Japs alone when they invaded China. well, that begs the question of how FDR was gonna get a causus beli to fight Hitler. Which is what putting Japan in an impossible bind actually accomplished. Hitler was impossibly vicious. Trouble was, Stalin was no better (unless youre a commie like Alger Hiss & Co).

Another “What If?”
Why did Japan feel the need to join the Axis? Did they do it in the expectation that the Nazis would help them with the Russians? It’s not as if the Japs helped the Nazis with the Russians, as Hitler had hoped when he declared war on the US.
