I considered myself lucky not to be drafted into that war, and Vietnam vets will always have a special place in my heart, because of it. My lottery number was 352, and at the time they weren’t taking more than about the 100 mark.

it was my dad’s generation that went to Vietnam. I am 55. He never had to go but his brother was an F-4 crew chief and stayed there for 7 years.
