For a long time I’ve wondered if someone ever correlated the effects of solar and lunar gravitational tugging on the earth.
Ben Davidson at Suspicious Observers attributes it to a greater extent to solar electromagnetic radiation and coronal (Yes: CORONAL of all things) holes in the sun’s surface.

I have a book from the 1950s written by a long time Director of the volcano research facility in Hawaii. Book is put away somewhere. I remember reading that studies were made of the magma level in a big volcano there and if I remember correctly it changed according to the moon and also according to the sun spot cycle.
