Thirty-eight states have started reopening or are planning to reopen soon from the near-total economic lockdown implemented to try to slow the spread of the CCP virus, according to an Epoch Times tally.
Businesses in 21 states have already started reopening or will be allowed to welcome customers back on May 1.
Alabama, Georgia, Montana, and Tennessee are among the states that have already started reopening. Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming are among the states loosening restrictions effective Friday.
The other states that have reopened or are reopening on May 1 are: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Vermont.
Another 17 governors are planning to ease restrictions in the coming days, including Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak, and Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf.
The governors in that category have either firmed up the first phase of reopening in their states or outlined plans to have the states start to reopen on a certain date.
The other states with planned reopenings on May 4 or later are Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.
Letting retailers reopen but restricting them to curbside pickup and delivery isnt counted as easing restrictions in the tally.
Some of the states still have most restrictions in place.
The 12 other governors are resisting calls to start relaxing their orders relating to businesses.

In “reopening” some states, e.g. Texas, only allow 25% occupancy. So we have quite a ways to go.
I honestly think Tom Wolf looked at video of the armed protesters in Michigan yesterday and had to send out for Depends. Rural communities in both states ain’t much different.
Commie Wolf did virtually nothing. His iron-fisted closures would have made Mao, Stalin or Hitler proud.
By the time this is all over, the population of NYC would have gone down some. People are already fleeing the joint even as we speak.
The MTA subway trains will always be a great way to spread any air borne infectious disease.
I finally found some info about Indiana. May 4 things will start.

My Daughters business (Coffee shop) will not survive much longer. She is just paying the store bills, and not herself. Had to start delivering Pizza to pay her own bills.
Not all “reopening” is the same. Some “reopening” is like no reopening at all.
Only minor changes in Maine.
And it’s not opening up on May 4th.
The summer tourist industry is economically important to countless small and medium sized businesses, and the governor, Janet Mills, moonbat, has shut it down.
Sad.
At least I think there will some NASCAR here in SC according to Dudley Do Nothing Henry.
NASCAR means zero to me and a lot of others.
Cooper has us locked down until May 8th. Then he will announce that we have not been good little boys and girls and extend the lockdown another 2 weeks. He is killing us 2 weeks at a time. About 70% of the deaths in North Carolina are in assisted living and nursing homes. So keep the healthy locked up. Makes no sense. We have had 2 cases in my zip code. Ridiculous.
Forgot to add...87% of the deaths in NC are over 65 years old. Not one death under the age of 25.
I read someplace he said Phase 1 will be 2 years long.
Don't know what phase 1 is. Doubt he does either.
Even if he could, could they survive a jury trial for everyone they arrested?
It would tie up the courts with a docket stretching out decades, and cops with endless testifying, and would net no convictions...
Better that we “not consent” to the totalitarian governors’ authority.
This is inaccurate and misleading.
Michigan does not have a plan. “A plan is in the works” does not equal a plan.
“Reopening” is a massive exaggeration.
Opening a few places w all kinds of restrictions is what’s happening.
I’m in Centre County home of Penn State and only one with any population for reopening next week.
In metro-Denver I noticed that an additional warehouse opened. Lots of out door construction going on throughout the shut down. Drive thru banks and fast food. Lots of delivery service drivers. Lots of just meet us at the front door.
