I Bet Joe Biden Picks Michelle to Be His Running Mate
American Thinker.com ^ | May 1, 2020 | Doris O'Brien

I've never been a betting woman, especially now that I'm too old to earn back anything I lose. But recently I made a chump-change wager with an acquaintance of mine, who figured he'd easily pick up a few bucks in a fantasy-fed transaction that was his to win.

And so, within seconds, he was on board to thwart my bet that Michelle Obama will be Joe Biden's running mate. The way I see it, my suggestion is not all that bizarre. Nor, for that matter, is it original. But for my eager Republican friend, it seemed preposterous.

As expected, he was immediately full of reasons why I was wrong. Michelle doesn't want to do it, he assured me. She never really liked being the first lady and is relieved to be out of politics. Anyway, he reminded me, even if she wanted to, she is clearly not up to the job. He pointed to the unimpressive and sometimes contentious political talks Michelle delivered in the aftermath of Hillary's defeat, stumbling with words and even accusing Trump's female supporters of having voted "against their own voice."

When the popular first lady got some negative press from those accusations, she clearly didn't like being taken to task. Thin-skinned and not up to the challenge, I'm reminded, she then lay low from the speaking circuit. Besides, my friend pointed out, she's very happy now in her multi-million-dollar mansion on Martha's Vineyard, enjoying a largely private life high on the hog and within earshot of soothing waves. So why make waves of a political nature when she needs neither the headaches nor the dough that comes with them?

Hillary/Mike 2020

Governors guarantee that mail-in voting steals the show.

not Michelle or Hillary! altho the Yeti would help him I don’t think she wants to get involved defending his pervy ass. Mrs. Clinton does not bring anything to the table.

I bet Hillary has already chosen herself.

That’s the only way that Ovomit could get back in the White House and finish he job of destroying America, and you can bet that is his aim.

Mrs. Clinton does not bring anything to the table.

Except bribes and blackmail.

Michelle would be their strongest candidate, but why would the Obamas want it?
They made their money and who would want such a crappy job.

Even Biden isat dumb enough to bring Hillary on. He wants to be around awhile longer.

So why not just select Barry directly.

Sadly he'd get more support than any of the suggested running mates mentioned so far.

If they pick Michelle, they're really picking Valerie.

I got 12MM reasons in speaking fees why she won't get off the gravy train and a life of fawning press and little scrutiny, and get back into public service where she'd have to actually do something and get up at 6:30am every morning.

I think you are right. Hillary believes she is entitled to the oval office. If Biden picks her, she will step down or be stepped down by Hillary.

Michelle on the other hand, loves being a celebrity. She never showed signs that she would work hard at anything other than being adored. I think she stays on the celebrity speech tour.

yes, of course there is that. But voter wise, I don’t think so.

I am thinking that Joe Biden should let Clarence Thomas ask him a few questions about Tara Reade. He could use the same cross examination that Biden used on him. What Biden told Anita Hill, when he tried to “use her” like he uses every woman, regardless of age: “I am sorry she was treated the way she was treated,” Biden said Friday, in what was his first interview since announcing his 2020 candidacy. “I wish we could have figured out a better way to get this thing done. I did everything in my power to do what I thought was within the rules to be able to stop things.”. Biden needs to reap what he has sown.

Good thing it was chump-change because you're going to lose.

That would be very gutsy on their part. I still think they will try to place Michelle Obama in for a lot of reasons.

At this point, Michelle is the only safe pick. Any other woman who SloJoe chooses will have to be asked about Ms. Reade. They can hide Michelle.

Michelle Obama would not be chosen for the work she will perform. She would be chosen as someone who will allow handlers to perform all the work in her name.
