New drone footage shows border-wall construction blasting through a wildlife refuge and mountain range in one of the most remote regions of the United States...
The wall is being built through the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge, home to the endangered Sonoran pronghorn, and the rugged Tinajas Altas Mountains in the Barry M. Goldwater Bombing Range east of Yuma, Arizona...
The construction has forever altered the centuries-old Camino del Diablo, or Devils Highway. The ancient trade route, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was traveled by Native Americans, explorers, miners and missionaries like Father Eusebio Kino. Once a forbidding, high-clearance trail, the Camino has been bulldozed and bladed by construction crews into a major thoroughfare...
Wall construction has accelerated across the borderlands despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Hundreds of miles of new construction have been announced in recent months...
Wall construction is ongoing in the neighboring Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and across Arizona.

What I find so sickeningly hypocritical about these leftists whining about ecological damage from the wall is that they don’t seem to care about the significant damage to the environment being done by the illegals coming through.
The wastelands of the West are a good place to keep foreigners.
Seems like a bombing range would allow a secondary layer of boobytrapped Claymores and bouncing Bettys.
Awesome, keep blasting! The whining about destruction is fine too, the environmental assessments have been done and the commies already lost that argument. That’s why construction is happening.
I winters in Yuma and spend time in the mountains down there.
Your right just a bunch of rocks and sand
Trump’s Wall is keeping butterflies from migrating!
Sad.
“The construction has forever altered the centuries-old Camino del Diablo, or Devils Highway.”
Finally gonna keep the Devil out.
The damage done to these regions by them is pretty bad too.
The writer used the adjective REMOTE to describe the sunbaked rock hills. Remote is another word for nobody goes there unless they’re researchers or illegals.
Do you know how many remote sunbaked rock hills there are in the western states?
Unless they’re constructing it out of yak carcasses or whatever, the critters will be fine.
Marines & Navy have been bombing the $hit out of that area since I was stationed in Yuma back in the seventies. If the butterflys and pronghorns can survive decades of 500lbs bombs being dropped I do not think the wall is endangering them. Journalists are getting dumber everyday.
“in the Barry M. Goldwater Bombing Range east of Yuma, Arizona...”
That is a military base. Trump can build what he sees fit.
Thanks for the update.
As noted the wall is our wall not trumps.
The enviro whackos are never concerned about the 24/7 damage done by illegals in those areas.
Sorry, not giving a shi...an Obama.
The wildlife will figure it out even if progressives cannot.
Shove it.
Quick! We also need to tear down all the solar farms that are desecrating deserts worldwide.
What’s the damage part?
