If there was ever any question about the dishonesty and corruption that poisoned the case against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, newly released documents erase all doubt.
For more than three years, the FBI and federal prosecutors concealed exculpatory evidence proving that the retired Army lieutenant general and former National Security Adviser committed no crimes. James Comey’s FBI knew it, and special counsel Robert Mueller’s prosecutors knew it. They didn’t care. An innocent man could be sacrificed.
In their zeal to damage President Trump, Comey and his confederates devised a devious scheme in January of 2017 to target and frame Flynn. After secretly recording his perfectly legal and appropriate telephone conversation with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, it was leaked to the media. This gave FBI assistant director Andrew McCabe an excuse to contact Flynn to discuss what the press was reporting. It was a clever artifice.

You can be put in jail for political reasons. And we thought the USA was not a corrupt banana republic.
Federal judges should refuse any matter brought before the court by the FBI. Let them sell cars in Gaithersburg on commission for a living.
I stopped believing that with the passage of time. My sense of corruption in government increased through the Clinton years, took a kind of semi-pause during the GWB years, and really accelerated once the Obama/Biden crowd came in (and the Clinton Foundation antics became apparent).
Now, I'd say our government is as corrupt as that of most other countries, on average.
After reading about Old Bought & Sold Joe Biden and his crooked family dealings with the University of Delaware mob, one can’t help but see that nest of vipers as being a lot like the Mafia. It also looks like Nancy Pelosi’s corrupt family ties to the Mafia in Baltimore through her father’s mayoralty. Corruption festers on both our coasts now.
Not the first time for them, they’ve had lots of practice framing people.
My question: What does Flynn know that has the FBI et al. so worried that they wanted him out of his position as National Security Advisor?
I knew we were a banana republic at noon on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009.
Not ONE of our appointed or elected stood for the Constitution.
He would have rooted out all the participants of the coup attempt.
His original crime was against the chosen one’s effort to try and wipe fedgov systems of anything that stated muslim=bad. Obama wouldn’t want to offend the brotherhood after all. Flynn knew that would hamper intelligence efforts so he tried to sound the alarm. The fact that Trump picked him must have pissed them off.
It would be nice if Congress would vote to abolish the Logan Act. It has been on the book for 200+ years and never been used. It is way past time for its ending.
