Entrapment, a criminal practice, is standard practice? No system of justice should work this way.

My thought too. So now we know that virtually all of their “investigations” and the resulting charges are corrupt from the start?

Comey said he took advantage of chaos to do what he normally would not be allowed to do. He was director of the FBI. He was the controlling legal authority. It didn’t matter who was president or whether there was a president. His duty under the Constitution was clear and invariant.

Yeah, I don’t see how saying that they were always scum is such a great defense for them. Especially when they are charged with being scum.

I agree that no system should work this way. Unfortunately most of the criminal justice system does work this way.
Cops going out to buy drugs to take down drug dealers. Cops going out and dressed up like prostitutes to take down Johns.
All of it is entrapment and all of it happens all across the US.
