I wouldn’t be surprised if this is all being driven by insurance companies. Think about it: The money they’re paying out for COVID-19 treatments is far exceeded by the money they’re saving by NOT covering all these other medical procedures that aren’t getting done.
Cancers caught early can cost less to treat. That’s also true for a lot of medical issues. I doubt insurance companies are happy about the delays.
