A news conference by two California doctors that downplayed the threat of the coronavirus and made dubious claims that the disease had already spread widely, and therefore was not dangerous, struck a chord with those itching for states to ease stay-at-home orders — but is being condemned by public health officials and experts.
A widely shared local television video of last week’s news conference, which was posted on YouTube, reached more than 5 million views and was amplified by Elon Musk and Fox News, where Dr. Dan Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi appeared on primetime shows two nights in a row.
The video has since been taken down by YouTube for violating the platform’s policy on misinformation, a YouTube spokesperson said.
The doctors, who are not epidemiologists and who own and operate urgent care centers in the Bakersfield area, held the news conference on April 22 to share their conclusions about the results of 5,213 coronavirus tests at their clinics, extrapolating their findings to the California population as a whole.
“Do we need to still shelter in place? Our answer is emphatically no. Do we need businesses to be shut down? Emphatically no. Do we need to test them and get them back to work? Yes, we do,” Erickson said at the news conference.

I will not stop questioning actions of public officials just because the YOUTUBE took the videos down...

I remember a time where we only had to worry about government censorship. Now, its social media companies like Facebook, Google, Reddit, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc. who are fully hog into censorship. A breaking point will happen, its just a matter of when, and when that occurs, karma is going to hit like a frakin’ train. Hey, one can hope, yeah?

I don’t agree with or support YouTube’s censorship of this video or videos like it, as their policies aren’t applied fairly or in a consistent manner. BUT those guys were pushing some crap statistics in that press conference, for example, “extrapolating” out a 39% infection rate for the entire state of New York (or 7.5 million people) because of a 39% positive rate among a sample of *people with symptoms*. Any kid taking high school-level statistics should be able to see the error in that approach.
I can see that starting to happen with the terrified Karen’s who want the shutdown to last until no one dies and the people who support a quick and safe opening.
I don’t see how to reconcile with some who will say “which loved one do you want to die” or “how many people is acceptable to kill for people like you to go out or even suggest we go back to normal.”
So much for the Stanford study - and anti-body testing. Guess they will drag their feet on that so as not to interrupt their convenient shut downs. If reality doesn’t fit the narrative then full on censorship is their resort.
Then let it be debated in the comments section or something. Or YouTube can put a disclaimer on the video (which is still censorship) saying “this video may contain some information that is not factual” and let people decide for themselves. To pull them entirely is in line with Communist regimes like the CCP.

A tacit admission that their arguments were not strong enough to falsify the doctors arguments.

Those claims run counter to the recommended guidance from the World Health Organization, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as California officials.
Notice the weasel-word "guidance". Nothing scientific about how the immune system is strengthened. What is inaccurate about the statement that staying locked in the house without being exposed to anything will actually weaken the immune system?
This "guidance" is from the same WHO that stated there is no evidence of human to human transmission of the virus back in January.
