Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that hospitalizations are still trending downward in the state and there were 335 new deaths. A total of 17,638 people have died in the state from the COVID-19 crisis.
As far as reopening, the governor said that it is not for areas with hospitals at 70% capacity or where the rate of transmission reaches an outbreak level of Rt 1.1.

Not a dime to NY until they get moving on this re-open.
Hospitalizations are a MUCH better count than measuring cases with tests. You can’t game actual hospitalizations like you can with tests.
The whole reason given for the shutdown, was runs on hospitals. Plenty of capacity now. Open things up!
A NYC EMS organization reporting emergency calls dropping toward normal.
Bad new for the left.
Maybe because Cuomo shipped them to nursing homes to die and kill others
17638. That is about 5000 less than the number on Newsbreak that I have been using. They show over 22000.
Thats what I am thinking. I know personally of two family members in different nursing homes that both contracted CoVid 19 in the last week. Sent to hospitals and now sent back to their nursing homes with kidney failure in both cases. Neither had kidney problems before. One was memory care, and the other was in generally good health but up there in age (92). No immediate family members. She was tested because someone else in the home had it. She was asymptomatic when she tested positive. Then stopped eating , then trouble breathing. Now its kidneys. No ventilator. We expect word any day now for the death notice for both of them.
Started seeing this two weeks ago in my hospitals ER in NJ. I’m telling you folks, we’ve been had. This is the biggest crock of bs since the “Oil Crisis’’ of the 1970’s.
Hows the nursing homes you infected? on the rise?
i am truly sorry to hear that
My husbands aunt passed this morning. Still waiting on the other. She has had other comorbidities, unfortunately. Should be any day.
