Jesse Ventura weighing presidential run on Green Party ticket

Former WWE star Jesse Ventura has admitted he is considering jumping in the ring with a wildcard presidential run — only days after bashing rumors about it.

“OK, I’ve decided I’m going to test the waters. IF I were going to run for president, the GREEN party would be my first choice,” the 68-year-old wrestler-turned-Minnesota governor tweeted Monday.

“To be clear: I haven’t filed anything. I authorized a letter of interest that was sent on my behalf to the Greens and I’m testing the waters for Green Party nomination,” he said.

“I’m an independent. I’m not a Democrat or a Republican because I know they’re not the solution.”

Isn’t he the low life who sued Chris Kyle and his widow had to pay this POS?

We lived in MN when Jessie ran for governor.
At first, he sounded conservative. He ordered the state surplus to be returned to taxpayers and it was (we got about $3,000.)

After his election, something clicked in his brain and he threatened to kill a Star Tribune reporter.
It went down hill from there...

Threatening to kill a reporter? Sounds like another plus.

Jesse’s fairy handler Bosacker ran things while Jesse relaxed at his ranch.

He was elected as governor of Minnesota as the nominee of Ross Perot’s Reform Party, but left it a year after taking office.

His main claim to fame is that he cut the sales tax with rebates and property tax cuts that resulted in significant revenue losses to the state of Minnesota. His decisions caused the statewide capital gain to fall from $9 billion to $4 billion between 2000 and 2001 alone. At the time Ventura left office in 2003, Minnesota also had a $4.2 billion budget deficit, compared to the $3 billion budget surplus when Ventura took office in 1999. Putting a showman in office is not always the thing to do. But he did make every effort to keep the youth vote with his work to legalize marijuana. He was no Reagan. And still isn’t. He was a joke when he worked in wrestling. I can see nothing has changed.

On the positive side, he’d be the youngest candidate on the ballot. And maybe he can get one of the WWE eye candy ladies as his VP. He would add some glitz and glamour to an otherwise gray white-bread campaign.

On the negative side, everything else!

“Isn’t he the low life who sued Chris Kyle and his widow had to pay this POS?”

No, He did sue Kyle who named him in his book as the person he punched in a bar at a seal reunion. But the settlement was not paid for by the widow or the estate according to the AP.

He was awarded a $1.8 million judgement by Minnesota courts that was tossed with the settlement. The case was overturned completely by the 8th Circuit in 2016 when it cited legal and procedural errors in the trial without deciding whether Ventura’s or Kyle’s allegations were true. So the court that did use the evidense, found it decisive, but the 8th didn’t use the facts. To my knowledge, it is still on going.

Assuming Biden doesn't drop out. The Green party might be the first time in history a third party gets more votes then the major parties.
