It has been known, ever since 1984, that zinc is an effective virus fighter. That year a research study discovered that taking zinc gluconate lozenges early in the course of a common cold could shorten it. After a series of apparently conflicting research studies, a 2012 review of the literature concluded that taking zinc early reduces the duration of a common cold by an average of 1.65 days. Since colds are mild virus infections, it is clear that zinc has anti-virus properties. Zinc and COVID-19 When the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) virus pandemic began, one of the glaring facts apparent to those who were familiar with the zinc research was that at least two of the three groups in the United States that were known for having zinc deficiencies (elderly people and Black Americans) were contracting and dying from COVID-19 at much greater proportions than the general public. There are no statistics available on the third group (vegans), but there is an anecdotal report of a young and robust vegan getting a severe case of COVID-19. Correlation is not causation, and there are other reasons why African Americans and elderly people might be the most vulnerable. But medical researchers have long known some of the mechanisms through which zinc fights virus infections within the cell. In an excellent YouTube video from March 6, 2020, Dr. Seheult illustrates and explains the inner workings of COVID-19 within the cell and how zinc within the cell fights it.

The studies are deliberately rigged to fail by Democrat scum.
putting zinc powder on an immerging fever blister (cold sore) and it stops it. Have used zinc supplement to fight viral infections for years.
From what I have found, zinc provides the same disruption in the virus’ ability to employ the cell’s machinery for duplication as Remdesivir.
In summary, the primary reason HCQ is effective is that it provides a pathway for blood Zinc to enter into the Wuhan Virus. The Zinc once within the virus prevents the virus from replicating.
If a person has adequate blood Zinc levels there is evidence the addition of a Zinc supplement is not needed. But, it cannot hurt if it is administered. For those with a very low blood Zinc level, the supplement is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, the HCQ is not very effective.
Dr.Z has been funded for a large FDA approved clinical trial.
Just so we know, HCQ pushes Zinc into the pneumocytes where it blocks the virus from replicating.
Dr. Z figured it out and deserves high level recognition.
I have long said that the President should bring Dr. Zelenko, and a few others like him, to one of his pressers to explain their successes with Zinc and HCQ. With or without Fauci and Birx. It either works or it doesn’t. Bring it on.
There are many other things that act as ionophores for zinc. Many plant sources of polyphenols and flavonoids exist that also help move zinc into cells. One very common one are the polyphenols in green tea.
There is no way the folks running the tests could not know by now.
Leaving the zinc out of the studies is an act of homicide.
.
Yes and amen.
Good luck finding any
Vitamin C, D, Zinc are all cleaned out
Agree.
I have taken zinc every day for 30 years. Swear by it.
We stocked up in Feb.
Zinc is good for the male libido.
Try Wal-Mart. They seem pretty well outfitted with the full array.
No. Zinc stops replicase of the existing RNA strand.
Remdesivir inserts new bases every so often into the strand - giving it a different signature that can't replicate.
In my opinion, Remdesivir is much more dangerous and unproven to use.
When my zinc supplements run out I can go gnaw on my boat’s zincs
