Pittsford (NY) Pizza Stop pulls back dining room reopening after warning from town

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Pittsford pizza parlor that had been charging ahead on plans to reopen its dining room has called those plans off.

Earlier on Sunday, the owner of Pizza Stop announced that he had enough space at his Monroe Avenue location to safely seat people, and that he'd be reopening his dining room with social distancing on April 30.

He pointed out that there were some stores where people ended up closer together, but the town has since warned him that he would lose his permit if he tried it.

As of Sunday night, the restaurant has announced it will not move forward on the reopening plans in Pittsford.

Democrats and beyond determined to shut down the economy. No one can defeat them, it seems. No one has the backbone to do what needs to be done.

Violation of rights under color of law. (Title 18/sec242) Sue them into penury. Knuckling under to the bogus little tyrants and their hired thugs just encourages them. They need to be made aware they do have skin in the game and they need to feel the pain, personally.

Isn’t there a TV show named for the town fathers of Pittsford? Lemme think...

Oh, I remember now...

Big Brother

don’t ya just love how it’s now illegal to run our own business?

The problem is- that ALL the businesses in the area, or across the state aren’t opening up all at once in unison as a show of support for our rights— to send a clear message “You wanna stop us? Then you’ll have to arrest us all!”

Dare the state to go all Nazi on them- that should sink the l liberal’s chances of reelection- or at the very least awaken some on the left as to the thuggery of the left in power- let cuomo call in the national guard- or reserve guard or whoever-

One shop trying to open hasn’t got enough clout or numbers to fight city hall- but the whole state is another story- the state, together, could force those in government to either back down, or go all Nazi- exposing him for what he truly is- then he can hold his daily briefings trying like a true nazi would, to explain why it’s his responsibility to ruin everyone’s lives and businesses-

All he has to do is go to the local store and take video.

If I was the owner of this restaurant I’d load it up with alcohol-based cleaning agents and sanitizers ... and then burn it to the ground.

Good luck with that arson investigation, Mr. Mayor.

All the courts are closed here except for the most serious Criminal Courts doing video testimony
I currently have three people who have stopped paying and they had no intention of paying before all of this covid crap
I managed to get in a mechanic’s lien just in Time on one of them

It’s not abut whether reopening would be safe. It’s about raw power. The town has power, and some thug with a job title loves exercising that power.

The realization is slowly growing that to restore personal liberty to our Republic a stronger commitment by American citizens to do so may be required. It's becoming clear that many of these petty state and local tyrants are not about to willingly give up their vast, self-anointed new powers, and will continue to expand them even as the Chinese Virus wanes ... at least not without considerable pressure to do so. Liberty-loving, patriotic Americans may very well need to take additional, no-nonsense action against the petty tyrants as these elected politicians continue to reject the requirement to abide by one of America's founding principles; that is, to exercise their political power only with the "consent of the governed".

Recall that "consent of the governed" refers to "the principle that a government's legitimacy and moral right to use state power is justified and lawful only when consented to by the people over which that political power is exercised." The political system which we have accepted for much of the past 250 years has deteriorated significantly in only the past month, and has worsened even more over the past two weeks. The continuing self-anointed, unilateral, unchecked, anti-Constitutional political power being wielded by state and local politicians during this continuing period of gross overreaction to the perceived and subsequently proven grossly overestimated threat posed by the Chinese Virus constitutes oppression -- tyranny -- in its purest form.

The question remains: How do we proceed, particularly with interference from still-frightened Americans who remain comfortable and safe with placing control of their lives, control of the lives of their children and the security of their property in the hands of these elected politicians?

See, once you agree that the government gets to decide if you can earn money or not, you are pretty much a slave to whatever they tell you.

Imagine a government telling you not to allow blacks to eat in your restaurant. But you think that is racist, and say I’m going to let them in. But the government threatens to pull your license, and send police to lock your doors.

Does that make you a racist?

Oh wait, I flashed back to the 60s, when the government used power to enforce slavery, instead of imprisonment.

The Gestapo is alive and well in Pittsford, New York. When I was growing up in Rochester in the 50’s and 60’s, Pittsford was one of the more ritzy suburbs.

Picnic tables in the parking lot would be a safer bet. Nothing will kill business faster than a rush of deaths that can be traced back to a rushed pizza grand opening...
