Dr. Deborah Birx said the media’s continuing focus on President Trump’s comments about people being injected with disinfectant as a coronavirus treatment “bothers” her and jeopardizes the administration’s ability to get information to people about the pandemic.
“It bothers me that this is still in the news cycle,” Birx, the White House’s coronavirus response coordinator, told CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday “I worry that we don’t get the information to the American people that they need when we continue to bring up something that was from Thursday night.”
“Because I think we’re missing the bigger pieces of what we need to be doing as an American people to continue to protect one another,” Birx added.
She said that Trump was having a “dialogue” with the Department of Homeland Security scientist about information he had recently received about how heat, light and disinfectants affect the coronavirus.
“We have made it clear, and when he turned to me, I made it clear and he understood that it was not as a treatment. And I think that kind of dialogue will happen,” Birx said on CNN.
“I think what got lost in there, which is very unfortunate in what happened next, is that study was critically important for the American people.”

Well, this is what bothers me, Dr.Birx...your two daughters work for Bill Gates. Your husband worked for Bill Clinton.
Coincidence? And let’s discuss Dr.Fauci...He is an advisor on the board of Gates Foundation, both invested heavily in Remdesivir. Fauci gave $3.7 million from the NIH funds to this Wuhan Lab. He predicted a pandemic would break out in the US in 2017. Coincidence? Does any of this bother you?
All weekend long, NBC radio news has been broadcasting, “Don’t drink Clorox or Lysol. It’s the choice of those who would commit suicide”.
That line follows—in so many words: the President’s message is faulty.

They are going to be and real soon as something else is going to take over. They will come back in it and tey won’t like where the light is going tm shine.
One could go broke betting on the intelligence of Americans. Just the number of Democrats and other anti trump people shows that statement to be true. I don’t think we will ever win the media battle. Trump confronting them and they directly and the dummies still don’t see the light. It is almost like the believe trump invented the virus.
It looks like Dr. Brix, the Swamp media, and none of the Left, have never heard of an asthma inhaler. What is an asthma inhaler? It’s a method of injecting “medicine” directly into the lungs. It’s used regularly by millions of people.
The “medicine” could easily be an antibiotic. But for the name, an antibiotic is no different than a antiseptic.
Additionally, some researchers are currently looking at placing UV light sources into breathing tubes to kill viruses in the lungs. So that’s not a new idea either. Sorry President Trump. Your great idea of directly inducing “antiseptic and UV lights” into the lungs to kill the virus is already being looked at. Yours wasn’t a new idea after all.
My local news chick said this morning, “after the President told people to inject Clorox”. I screamed so loud my dog left the room.
That’s how liberals chastise each other.
To stop the return of manufacturing of products back to the US that went to China. China backers here who’s family members are making millions from China through their political connections will be hit hard are also claiming that Trump’s alleged stock ownership in a quinine pills maker claim its a controlling interest in a product to be totally ineffective and when used requires a severe restriction of movement when near a possible carrier known as a shutdown because of its rapid transmission .
It sounds like Birx is still calling the shots, and setting the agenda here, not Trump!

These days my wife occasionally complains of being bored. I tell her she doesn’t know what hard times are. Neither do I first-hand, but we all know of the true hard times others are enduring now, and the even worse hard times in other parts of the world in ways unrelated to the Corona virus.

The biggest sin the evil media has committed here is completely ignoring Under Secretary Bryan’s presentation. Apparently the Science and Technology Directorate at the US Department of Homeland Security are tracking individual virus(es?) and are determining half-lives under various conditions.
I have not been able to find the April 23 news conference posted, so I went to the White House site and is Bryan’s summary: “So, in summary, within the conditions we’ve tested to date, the virus in droplets of saliva survives best in indoors and dry conditions. The virus does not survive as well in droplets of saliva. And that’s important because a lot of testing being done is not necessarily being done, number one, with the COVID-19 virus, and number two, in saliva or respiratory fluids.
And thirdly, the virus dies the quickest in the presence of direct sunlight under these conditions. And when you — when you look at that chart, look at the aerosol as you breathe it; you put it in a room, 70 to 75 degrees, 20 percent humidity, low humidity, it lasts — the half-life is about an hour. But you get outside, and it cuts down to a minute and a half. A very significant difference when it gets hit with UV rays.
And, Mr. President, while there are many unknown links in the COVID-19 transmission chain, we believe these trends can support practical decision making to lower the risks associated with the virus.

And when that — while that comes up, you’ll see a number of some practical applications. For example, increasing the temperature and humidity of potentially contaminated indoor spaces appears to reduce the stability of the virus. And extra care may be warranted for dry environments that do not have exposure to solar light.
We’re also testing disinfectants readily available. We’ve tested bleach, we’ve tested isopropyl alcohol on the virus, specifically in saliva or in respiratory fluids. And I can tell you that bleach will kill the virus in five minutes; isopropyl alcohol will kill the virus in 30 seconds, and that’s with no manipulation, no rubbing — just spraying it on and letting it go. You rub it and it goes away even faster. We’re also looking at other disinfectants, specifically looking at the COVID-19 virus in saliva.
This is not the end of our work as we continue to characterize this virus and integrate our findings into practical applications to mitigate exposure and transmission. I would like to thank the President and thank the Vice President for their ongoing support and leadership to the department and for their work in addressing this pandemic. I would also like to thank the scientists, not only in S&T and the NBACC, but to the larger scientific and R&D community.

The good news is that it appears that the COVID is not a super virus. It is subject to the same natural forces that apply to known viruses and likely will be less active in the summer if people are allowed to participate in normal outdoor activities. The bad news is that most people are only exposed to the media misrepresentation and never see the truth.
