Please note, the US total NEW cases, seems to FINALLY have decreased.

For three weeks, it has been stuck over 30,000 new cases. With one quick dip, about one week ago.
Today, maybe. Possibly. It may begin to actually start, to fall.

MAYBE, that represents the beginning of a real fall, in new cases.

New cases is a meaningless number when testing is going up. It will continue to overstate new cases until virtually everyone has been tested.
Look at new hospital admissions. That’s a real number that counts much the same thing from day to day.
The graphs shows early signs of flattening.
Yeah, but wait til the mosquitos get a dose of COVID, I’d imagine they’ll be quite effective at spreading this disease widely. I hate to add to the hysteria, but perhaps some early spring spraying to decimate the mosquito population is needed, before it get’s a foot hold that way. If I’m wrong, the worst that happens is we have few mosquitos this season, but if I’m right, look out.
Number of deaths in Spain and Italy were the lowest in over a month too.

At the hospital I work at in southern NJ we had one Covid case in the last 48 hours.

Sunday reporting is low sometimes. I’ll feel better if the reduction is still there in Monday’s numbers
Here in Ky the newly elected Dem Governor Beshear is following the DNC directive to increase testing. Because they are so concerned for the public well being. So of course they want immediate testing of all prison and jail inmates. And what results will be the easiest to manipulate. Prison results of course. And BOOM! Drastic increase in people infected with covid19
So the shut downs need to be extended and the economy continues to be damaged.
This is a Scam it has DNC and Soros written all over it. Your more likely to die in a bicycle accident.
I want to see the number of all other deaths in the USA for the last 60 days.
No more cancer deaths, or heart attacks, or anuerisms, or auto accident deaths, no more guns killing people.
I follow this every day. The number of deaths was also down by about 700.

On average, the curves HAVE flattened for a while now. The problem is that the level they’ve flattened at is pretty nasty, and until today there’s been little to suggest a falloff. We’ll see, Sundays have typically been low, but yesterday was a stronger dip. But, keep in mind that Friday was brutal, and Sat. tough too. If the overall pattern continues, 2k deaths per day is really going to add up.
Wait and see what tomorrow’s numbers are like.
Good point: Where is the rate of testing tracked, day by day, where are daily hospitalizations tracked, and does anyone provide a curve of new cases normalized by testing increases?

I agree if it was Sunday, but I believe Sunday in the US is still accruing, isn’t it?
Monday is already started in Asia, but aren’t you still accumulating America’s totals for Sunday?
So the “yesterday” totals right now, are Saturday?
It’s almost certain that mosquitoes can’t spread coronaviruses. In order for a virus to be spread by a blood sucking insect like a tick or a mosquito, the virus would need to be able to replicate inside the host. (Blood from previous bites doesn’t get ‘injected’ into subsequent bites).
COVID-19 replicates in the respiratory tract, mosquitos don’t have respiratory tracts the way we do.
