why not let people buy years worth for discounted prices? Sell a certain amount of miles, on a certain airline- no? Bad idea?
It’s really no different than a gift card, when you think about it.
It’s already happening. I haven’t done it because I already have a bunch of miles. But I might do it. 25% off is hard to pass up.
You would need a law to prevent airlines from escaping the discounted tickets in bankruptcy. Like the idea. Don’t trust airlines.
Not going to work -- it is not certain which airlines would survive! But with some kind of insurance .. maybe.
i get emails recently, some airlines already selling points/miles. “get 30-45% more miles if you buy now”
go online, it’s already available for some airlines.
