Scheer pressured to expel MP over ‘racist’ comment about Dr. Theresa Tam [IOW, truth hurts]

... This week, Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Derek Sloan took to social media posting a video suggesting Canada's top doctor, Theresa Tam, worked for China and "parrots" misinformation handed down by the World Health Organization.

"Dr. Tam must go! Canada must remain sovereign over decisions. The UN, the WHO, and Chinese Communist propaganda must never again have a say over Canada's public health!" said Sloan on twitter.

The social media posts caught the attention of Hastings County CAO, Jim Pine, and warden, Rick Phillips.

On Thursday, the pair sent Conservative Party Leader Andrew Scheer a letter asking him to take action against his rookie MP ...

"None of my arguments for Dr. Tam's removal were based on Dr. Tam's race or her sex: they were based on her performance," read [Sloan's response}] ...

"Holding our public officials accountable for their mistakes is my duty as a member of parliament. All the name-calling in the world won't change that," the letter read ....

Dr. Theresa Tam is Canada's Chief Health Officer, but you wouldn't know it by the way she kisses China's derriere.

She was against a Chinese travel ban in February, hasn't said anything critical about China's actions (only lavish praise), and has tried to slow-walk the Canadian economy revving up again.

A good example was last week when Alberta Premier Jason Kenney - a guy with Trump-like smarts and common sense - suggested Alberta could return to normal in a few weeks with adequate testing. Right on cue, Tam warned against relying on test results to much; Kenney, not missing a beat, responded that AB got all its testing kits from the EU and FDA, and asked if Dr. Tam was actually suggesting that they would knowingly sell faulty kits?

That shut her up real quick.
