Tucker Carlson said rural America is being punished by coronavirus lockdowns, calling the restrictions in some states "mindless and cruel" in light of infection numbers.
In a monologue on Thursday's edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight, the Fox News Host argued that COVID-19 posed a "miniscule" threat to people in rural states as he highlighted the dire state of unemployment across the country.

So blame the states’ governors.
Somehow many will respond and blame NYC :)
Georgia did the right thing.
And if the rural areas are suffering because of a dem governor, people should get all over him/her/it
It is stupid as well.
Rural America, the place food is grown, power is generated or extracted and water collected and stored.
Why should City slackers care about us ?
What’s shut down Rural America. That’s the ticket!
Let’s stop Farmers from planting growing harvesting all food throughout this summer, compensating them, of course for any cost that they would have incurred plus an extra bonus because they lost their jobs because of covid-19. We’ll see how the elite crowd in New York City or less Angeles loves that.
I bet we can hold out longer than they can!
Those farmers are nothing more than dumb Kulaks. (Based on former candidate Blooming Idiots statement).
Hokou.
Stalin, Soviet Communists
Hukou.
Stalin, Soviet Communists
Also, China.
I call Rural America the Sleeping Giant and I it is waking up one more time. MAGA
All this time I thought we were playing our old childhood game of “Charade - 19”.
“Tucker Carlson said rural America is being punished by coronavirus lockdowns, calling the restrictions in some states “mindless and cruel” in light of infection numbers.”
They need to take it up with their governers. Trump hasn’t issued any lockdown orders for those areas or any other state.
Bkmrk.
Starting to see more people out and about. The people are getting restless with the nicer weather.
A$$inine rats do not understand that the sooner they bring the country down, the sooner they are “judged”!
This data is directly from the NJ.gov long term care dashboard. It is now available for everyone to examine.
This side of the ugly story was hidden from us and only came to light because of the NYT story last week. Thank you to the anonymous tipster about the NJ Sussex County Andover facility storing bodies in a shed.
The NYT reported 40% of NJ deaths were victims of our long term care, but the number is shockingly higher.
Bergen County is 60%.
Morris County is 70%.
New Jersey newspapers are not covering this aspect. The healthy are on lockdown and the measures in place did not protect the vulnerable in our nursing homes.
How can this be happening here without our Governor and County officials acknowledging it. The lockdown measures of the healthy for the past 34 days did not help our most vulnerable in State and County facilities. How many of the ICU patients are still seriously ill and are also from our Long Term Care/Rehab facilities.
The only "backslide" done in New Jersey is from our state and county officials trying to hide how Covid cases and deaths are rampant in our nursing homes.
If I go to Trenton to protest, the Governor will have me arrested for violating his executive orders?
Not much around me, that's for sure. I'm personally doing my best to NOT catch the virus. The number of cases are starting to explode here.
Here in Warren County of the 55 deaths attributed to the virus 14 were in Chelsea senior care and 5 at Brakely senior care. That is about 35% of the total deaths here.
