My son got a $405k check from the feds to keep his business going. In fact, the guy building my garage got $60k. The whole point is to keep them from laying people off. Fortunately, business is booming for both of them. It allowed them to pay down some debt early. :)

Did your son get a SBA disaster loan or PPP? Your son needs to be very careful if it’s PPP. You attest that you need the money and you will use it only to pay your employees, a small portion for rent and utilities.
