HCQ does have 47 in one million getting a mild heart arrhythmia, and a smaller number with some vision blurriness. There is no record of anyone dying from taking prescribed amounts, anywhere, ever.

Those opposing HCQ are either hoping for more death, or hoping for a larger payday.

Those many millions taking HCQ before Covid came along (for arthritis, malaria, or lupus) have had almost zero deaths worldwide. What clearer evidence do you need? A sample size larger than 30 million???

I just read the guidance by the FDA--it's a reiteration of their previous guidance that the use of hydroxychloroquine should be closely supervised by the prescribing physician.

Well, duh. Of course the physician is going to closely monitor their patients.

It should also be reiterated that the FDA has issued an "Emergency Use Authorization" (EUA) that permits certain actions with hydroxychloroquine, such as its stockpiling and dispensing to states for use in COVID-19 patients.

It seems that the EUA is a bit superfluous, as doctors are always free to prescribe medications for off-label use, if their medical opinion dictates the medication may help.

The original article has overblown the importance of the FDA's guidance in an effort to make the President look foolish. The guidance does not do that.
