Pro-Trump black lawmaker WON'T resign after outpouring of support

A black Georgia Democratic state lawmaker who announced his resignation Wednesday because of his support for Republican President Trump in the 2020 election has changed his mind.

State Rep. Vernon Jones explained Thursday on Twitter "the outpouring of support I received was too great for me to ignore."

"I will not allow the Democrats to bully me into submission. I will not let them win," Jones wrote. "I will NOT resign."

In a video, Jones said he received a "barrage of attacks and name-calling by the far-left and the Democratic Party" in response to his endorsement of Trump.

Walk away sir. And kudos for deciding to NOT be bullied by these cretins. (No offense intended towards actual cretins.) Of course, you could be censured as the young lady in Michigan seems to be headed for after thanking PDJT for the comment about HCQS which she believes saved her life from CV-19.

Rep. Jones, lead Black America back into the Republican Party, the Party of Martin Luther King, the Anti-Slavery Party, the Party that prays to God for guidance, where it belongs.
