A leading Russian microbiologist has claimed the coronavirus is the result of Wuhan scientists doing 'absolutely crazy things' in their laboratory.
World renowned expert Professor Petr Chumakov claimed their aim was to study the pathogenicity of the virus and not 'with malicious intent' to deliberately create a manmade killer.
Professor Chumakov, chief researcher at the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology in Moscow, said: 'In China, scientists at the Wuhan Laboratory have been actively involved in the development of various coronavirus variants for over ten years.
'Moreover, they did this, supposedly not with the aim of creating pathogenic variants, but to study their pathogenicity.
'They did absolutely crazy things, in my opinion.
'For example, inserts in the genome, which gave the virus the ability to infect human cells.
'Now all this has been analysed.
'The picture of the possible creation of the current coronavirus is slowly emerging.'
He told Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper: 'There are several inserts, that is, substitutions of the natural sequence of the genome, which gave it special properties.
'It is interesting that the Chinese and Americans who worked with them published all their works in the open (scientific) press.
Professor Chumakov is also connected to Russia's Federal Research Centre for Research and Development of Immunobiological Preparations.
Vladimir Putin's spokesman warned this week against allegations that coronavirus was manmade.
'In the situation where there is not enough information that has been supported and checked by science ... we think it is unacceptable, impossible, to groundlessly accuse anyone,' said Dmitry Peskov.
Earlier Veronika Skvortsova, head of Russia's Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) and Putin's ex-health minister, was asked if the pandemic virus could be manmade.
'This question is not that easy. It demands a very thorough study,' she said on Russia's Channel One.

When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried. “Very thorough studied” is code for paralysis by analysis. It goes like this:
You have to design the study methodology, then have supervisory authority review and approve it, fund the study, recruit the study team, establish secure workspaces, conduct the study in multiple phases, hold in-progress reviews during and at the end of each phase, prepare and submit the final report for independent technical review for methodological conformity and scientific accuracy, revise the report to address issues raised in the technical review, submit the revised final report for institutional review and approval, receive authority to release the study for full or partial public release, issue press releases, provide briefings and testimony, address public criticism, etc.
AND...because the topic is so fraught politically, expect to have the entire report rejected on specious grounds by the politicians and have to be redone.
Rinse and repeat until things quiet down and then close down the study administratively by defunding it - hopefully without issuing a final report at all, if possible. And store the research files and other data in some really remote version of that big government warehouse from the “Indiana Jones” movies.

I agree with that. And when the undeniable proof comes out China needs to pay and pay and pay again.
I actually don’t think there’s a cover.....yet......as most articles I’ve read by scientists state it’s just too early to tell as they don’t have enough information . They will know eventually though. Right now it’s speculation with a host of them saying it was transferred via animal.
Yes, but if what he is saying is true then lots of people know this same truth in many countries.
Why are they all slow peddling the truth of this if it is published clearly in scientific journals? I’m not saying they aren’t, or that any of this is wrong, i’m asking what motivation they would all have in common
Once again Communism kills and causes misery.
