I think we’re in the right about the situation, but the risk-averse—authorities and the polulace—are taking the extreme stay-in-place measures because they believe it is safest both literally and politically. They may be right, but the economy is being wrecked in a way earlier epidemics never approached.

I don’t know how how a conservative faction emerged to prefer more deaths to fewer deaths in the interests of protecting a system based on a substance (money) created from thin air by the Fed.
There is no evidence that antibodies persist long enough to convey immunity past hours or days, rather than months or years. There is too much smoke out there in the form of stories about reinfection for there to be no fire. If there is no conveyed long-term immunity then a strategy to build up a herd immunity is completely worthless. And so is a vaccine.
This choice on the part of a conservative faction to embrace HCQ in the absence of some sort of testing is absurd. I am personally confident that there are circumstances where it will be useful. But this has gone way overboard. It’s become political on both sides. Just forget it. Testing will eventually emerge.
Sweden is not an example of anything. I have talked to people in Sweden. They have guidelines that are essentially a lockdown, and the people have followed them voluntarily. Their statistics are not a measurement of no Lockdown vs. Lockdown. They locked themselves down without the government demanding it. So their numbers are not a contrast.
As for warm weather making it go away, Australia or Africa. It’s already summer there and they have cases.
