azar is an attorney, apparently not someone with training in health.
i am not willing to believe trump was irresponsible— yet. trump has the problem of getting qualified people given the deep state was against him from the beginning, and cabinet approvals from mitch. that is a big handicap when running the US executive branch.
Possibly, Trump read Azar the riot act and all but told him to pack his backs sometime in late February or the first week of April. Gave or implied a deadline for him to resign. Azar got sidelined around April 7. 2 weeks from April 7 is April 21, and now it’s 30 minutes into April 22 on the east coast.
I’d be sympathetic but Azar sounds from the article like a clown. Plus, he is a lawyer. He will get paid a pension. Because of him, apparently, many people died. No sympathy for a guy who was promoted beyond his competence, and failed the test to rise to the occasion when challenged by events. If anything Trump seems to have been humane to the guy.
