It was speculated North Korea's leader was in "grave danger" following heart surgery. Seoul's top office reaffirmed they weren't aware of anything out of the ordinary with Kim Jong-un's health. But a new report out of Japan claims the regime has been preparing a contingency plan for a leadership succession since late last year. Hong Yoo has the full story. Kim Jong-un's lack of recent public appearances, and the speculation surrounding his well-being, has raised the question of 'who will be the next in charge?'. The spotlight is now on Kim Jong-un's sister, Kim Yo-jong.

You didn’t know that Kim’s favorite song is John Lee Hooker’s “Boom, Boom, Boom”!

There are over 50 million living Kims in Korea. They might look similar, but certainly not the same.

The last Chinese Empress, Dowager Cixi, came to power in 1906. She was pretty much hated by her subjects.

The thought of any of the people on that family tree engaged in the act of pro-creation makes my flesh crawl.
IT. IS. NOT POSSIBLE.

Is that Sadaharu Ohs former team? Most definitely. One of the reasons why the Yomiuri Giants remain one of the top fan favorites to this day.
Couple of interesting tidbits you may not have known about Oh:
- His mother was Japanese; his father was a Chinese Nationalist who moved to Taiwan after the Communists came to power in the 1949 Civil War. Oh chose to retain his Nationalist Chinese citizenship in honor of his father.
- Oh, like Babe Ruth, begin his professional baseball career as a pitcher with the Yomiuri Giants in 1959. Like Ruth, he was just too good with the bat not to play everyday and was converted to a position player, mostly at first base.

I think we should wonder about who would replace her? Could North Korea ever get a sensible leader? Queen Liz has been seated for how many years? And Chuck is her replacement.

A bit of plastic surgery, and you’d have the Despotess and the Political Hack. What would Mark Twain make of it if they changed clothes?
